Training

Training is one of the core pillars of the Atlantic Eye Research Foundation. We believe that hands-on, practical experience is essential for those pursuing a career in ophthalmology. If you have experience in training within the field and are interested in contributing to the development of future ophthalmologists, we would love to hear from you.

Research

As a research foundation, our primary goal is to advance knowledge in the field of ophthalmology. Several impactful studies have already been completed in partnership with our collaborators, adding meaningful value to the discipline—but much important work still lies ahead. Funding

To support our initiatives, all directors of the Atlantic Eye Centre contribute a percentage of their profits to the Atlantic Eye Research Foundation. Additional funding through private sector partnerships, business networks, grants, and donations is critical to our success. We invite stakeholders to join us in our mission to advance eye healthcare in South Africa. Your generous contributions will directly support our efforts to improve service delivery, address barriers to eye care, and provide essential resources for education, training and research.
